Vote above!

Since I added my super cool debt/savings tickers I've been thinking about how cool it would be to have a savings challenge on this board. We could keep track of extra change, do a graduated savings of change as the month goes on, each pick a specific goal, find savings through giving up some spending, etc. It'd be fun. We'd be accountable. We'd save money, and I'm pretty sure someone could end up with a blinkie out of it.

Anyone interested?

Ya' think?!

I vote for spending reduction. People who are struggling to pay off debts aren't worried about savings right now (other than their emergency funds). People who don't use envelope budgeting don't have spare change. I think everyone can cut spending here and there, though. (Even ME! )

I'm up for a spending reduction challenge. I don't have any money to spend for the upcoming 2 months anyways!! This is due to paying off a couple things.

I think spending reduction is a great idea! I would also suggest a challenge based on what percentage of your income is going toward saving and/or debt reduction.
