Did you have flowers at your parent's funeral?

What kinds? Want to share any pictures?

Do you put flowers by their grave or memorial still?

What is it about flowers that they're used for these purposes do you think?

Did you have flowers at your parent's funeral? Just a single red rose

What kinds? Want to share any pictures? I don't have copies of those pictures, mom does

Do you put flowers by their grave or memorial still? Yes. Everytime I go home I make a trip to the dollar store and buy him flowers. It's a long running joke, since dad hated flowers

What is it about flowers that they're used for these purposes do you think? I'm not sure to be honest. but since you give flowers at every other life event, may as well do it at death too right?

What kinds? Want to share any pictures? To be honest I don't really remember, I think there were roses though.

Do you put flowers by their grave or memorial still? No, but my Aunt does. His grave is in Buffalo, NY so I haven't been there in over 2 years..

What is it about flowers that they're used for these purposes do you think? Not sure.

What kinds? Want to share any pictures? Red, White and Blue carnations. Dad was a veteran, and it was a military funeral so the main flowers were all red white and blue. We had yellow roses too.... one each for me, my daughter and my son were laid in the casket with him.

Do you put flowers by their grave or memorial still? Once a year when I make it home I do. I was sending money to a family member and asking them to do it, but I found out that they were keeping the money and not buying flowers. Now I only get to do it when I make the 1000 mile trip home.

What is it about flowers that they're used for these purposes do you think? I think it's probably to remind us that even in the worst of times, we can still find beauty in the world. No matter how bad it seems..... there is still good. Life will continue. I could also be completely full of it though.
