Any one have any experiance with this med? My son is switching over to it tomorrow, we've been given 15 pills at 30mg and 15 pills at 50mg and we have to figure out which works best for our son. Let me know your thoughts on it if you've used it for your child, thanks!

when my kids were on it. it was great. the only thing is that our insurance covered it at first but then made it so it was non forumlary or something like that and we had to pay more for it. their doctor refused to write 30 day supply instead wrote it for 90 day supply. which was way to much for us to handle with how much we had to pay for both kids, even paying for one child was way to much.

It stayed in their system longer and they were able to concentrate more in school.

We have great insurance and they wanted to charge us 60 bucks for a 30 day supply so we laughed and left.

We may try this. It's preferred on our insurance and is only $40 for a 90 day supply.

My son take this, he is 12. He is having a few side affects from it. He has no appitete and we have to force him to eat sometimes. It is to the point where he is losing weight and when we go back in Dec if no weight gain we have to find new meds. Also his emotions are way out of control on some days.
Besides those two things its great. It helps him concentrate he is doing much better at school and he notices the difference himself.

Hi there...i'm kinda new here, but not new to ADHD and the meds that go with it. My son was on adderall which controlled the adhd, but gave him horrid anger issues. So we switched to Vyvanse. It's pricey for us (50 bucks for 30 days) but it made him a completely new child! It's been a wonder drug for him and us. I haven't noticed any other side effects with it other than the loss of appetite, which we've had with any other drug.
Every kid's different so no guarantees....but we are super happy with it!!
