When you have a child who is known as "difficult" w/ the school/teachers/kids, you never expect things to change. Well, now that DS is going on his 2nd month of being on Concerta, just increasing it in small doses, he's not only changed his attitude, but the teacher's are giving me comments like "he's doing great! interacts well, doesn't have an attitude"... then, get this, on Friday I got a note home saying he was picked to be student of the week! This is a total 180 ladies, this child went from being "difficult" to "delightful" & voted "student of the week"... I've never been so proud of him for this, I knew he could do it, and I'm grateful that we finally found the right medicine to work w/ him so he could shine as I knew he could.
I wanted to brag, b/c honestly, I never expected to be able too w/ him, not that I wasn't proud of him, but to have his peers & teachers pick him as a smart, happy child, well...it confirms that I knew he could do this. There is a light at the end of a tunnel.
