What is the hardest part of having a child with ADD/ADHD? Do you feel like you miss out on events because of your childs disorder?

I'd say the hardest part is the constant reminders and getting them to stay on task. Yeah, there were many times where we couldn't participate in an event because my children cannot sit still and get bored easily. Luckily my family is very understanding so we don't miss out on the important family events.

I don't feel we ever missed out on anything. There were times when we walked out of restaurants because they were having a bad hyper day but for the most part we did/do everything other families do.

We are an awesome family and if people don't like our crazy antics then they don't need to socialize with us!

For me it is the fact that my family can not handle him and refuse to watch him because of that. They have gotten better about it now that he is on meds, but I cannot help but feel so bad for him. He cannot understand why people do not want to be around him.

The hardest part for me is watching them (mostly Tyler) struggle through school because of it, and seeing people stare and talk about my kids assuming they are just being naughty instead of having ADHD
