I just have to update on Tyler... I am so excited to have my "little" boy back! In a nutshell for the past year or so he hsa been awful! Failed school last year (although they still passed him) and for all F's first quarter this year, mean and nasty talks back and just out of control. Says things that are so hurtful and is just down right mean. I took him in to see the DR I work for (which is his DR anyway) and we readjusted all his meds, we added an ADHD pill in the afternoon at school like he was on last year and put him BACK on his bi-polar meds (Not sure if you remember but his psych last year said he wanted him OFF those) so stupid me listned and took him off...biggest mistake! so we put him back on them and every 2 days increased the dose. he is now on the maximum dose. so it's been about 2-3 weeks now and I can't beleive it but I have a totally different kid!! I just wanna cry I am so happy, beleive it or not he was UNDER medicated! It's like I have my old Tyler back again, he passed 4 tests last week got one of his F's up tp an A and earned back his phone, youth group, went out last night with friends, it's amazing! I can't get over it, I was at my wits end with him andI just can't beleive we may have finally found the right meds and doses for him! And next week he has a consult at the sleep clinic to discuss getting a sleep study done. I am over the moon right now and so happy. I HAVE MY KID BACK!!!!
That is so great Angie. What a difference having the right med combo can make. I'm so happy that you got Tyler's meds figured out and he is turning back into the charming young man he is supposed to be. Good luck with the sleep study, let us know how it goes.
