We have an IEP. If I had known what to do at the beginning to get one, I would have immediately--it has made a huge difference for Sterling! Write a letter to the principal of the school asking for a full IEP evaluation under the "other" category. ADHD on its own isnt enough for an IEP but if the ADHD is negatively impacting learning, it can be granted as an "other". The full evaluation also showed a few other problems that were hindering Sterling doing well at school so those things are also being addressed with his IEP. The difference between before and after the IEP is phenomenal for my little guy
