I had my section 4 weeks and 1 day ago, and I'm still bleeding. I read that it was normal; however, the blood is bright red. There's not a lot of it, and it varies day to day. Yet, it's there on a daily basis. Is this reason for concern? I go back to my doctor in two weeks, but I just wanted to make sure I didn't need to call earlier.

For everyone the time varies. I'm pretty sure I was still bleeding 4 weeks pp. Some people go 6 weeks or more. Unless you are soaking a pad in an hour there shouldn't be any reason for concern. You can always call your OB though for peace of mind since we aren't drs.

Welcome to the Board! I hope you stick around!

Mine was medium the first day or two, and then very light for 4 wks straight. My first af came at 6 wks, and it was horrible. Heavy and lasted 4 wks!

Bright red is a good thing And some people have light bleeding on and off for weeks until AF visits. So I would say you are doing just fine and I see no reason for concern with what you described. But if you are worried it never hurts to make a call to your doctor

I bled for 6 weeks with my first and almost 7 weeks with my second. So everyone is different in the length of time you bleed, how heavy you bleed and how crampy you get. Lucky us right? Nothing can just be easy

Mine was exactly the same!. I didn't get my first AF for months though! cause I was breastfeeding, but my post partum bleeding was exactly the same as above
