The goal of this thread is to make people see both sides of VBAC. This is not a debate forum. You may disagree with someone's answers, but there's no need to argue. So here what I want.
Post 2 (only 2) reasons why you WOULD try for a VBAC.
AND
Post 2 (only 2) reasons why you WOULD NOT try for a VBAC.

For VBAC
1. Shorter healing time
2. Immediately getting to hold my baby
Not for VBAC
1. Increased risk of uterine rupture
2. Worry after the way things went before (fetal distress)

I would not try for a VBAC because this is my 3rd pregnancy in 3 years, and I have had 2 prior csections that were 13 1/2 months apart.
I might have tried if I waited at least 2 years in between time.

Why try for a VBAC:
1. easier recovery
2. It is supposed to be better for the baby.
Why not try for a VBAC
1. The risk of uteran rupture.
2. convience of a schedule.
I wouldn't try for a vbac now that I have had 2 c-sections. My doc said my uterus had thinned quite a bit. I was trying with the 2nd one, but due to pg complications it didn't work out.

VBAC:
1. Easier recovery
2. Being able to experience birth first-hand rather than numb from behind a curtain.
Repeat:
1. Another posterior baby, I don't want to go through that again
2. A medical problem in which c-sec. is a known safer alternative (not including uterine rupture)

For VBAC:
1. Less recovery
2. I wouldn't have to pick my baby's birthday by scheduling a c/s (is that weird?? )
For C/S:
1. I would never have to go through labor or have contractions
2. Risks (Uterine rupture, etc.)

I'm trying a VBAC b/c:
1. I want to feel like a woman during birth and work hard for my baby with the natural pain that God intended
2. The benefits for my baby far outweigh all risks
I would not have a VBAC b/c:
1. a medical emergency occurred, such as cord prolapse
2. medical problems occurred with my body where I couldn't deliver naturally
This is my second pregnancy/child and first chance to have a VBAC.

Would try VBAC
1. To get that vaginal delivery I hoped for the first time
2. Because I honestly, honestly think I could do it
Wouldn't try for a VBAC
1. Fear of things ending in a c-section anyway
2. The small risks.... sometimes I'm a "what if" person and I wouldn't want to do that to myself!

Why I'd try a VBAC
1. Safer for me and baby - less trauma to baby, less chance of infections or complications for me, healthier for baby to get the increased hormones while being delivered vaginally.
2. Quicker bonding
Why I'd not try a VBAC
1. True medical emergency
