My names Ellisa.. i'm 21 years old and I have an 11 month old Daughter.
I just found out 2 days ago that i'm expecting another baby.. should be due in April.. if my calculations are right!!

I had an emergency csection with my daughter because of complications through out the labour.. about a week after i had her, my wound opened up because of an infection.. i had nurses coming to my house packing the wound to make it heal.. it just closed about 6 months ago!! my question is... because of it just closing 6 months ago, will this effect my pregnancy?... will it reopen on me while i'm pregnant?... i'm so scared something is going to happen!!.. also.. because of how close my kids will be, will that mean my hopes for a VBAC won't happen?...

Was the wound in your abdomin or your acutal uterus? If it was your stomach you will probably be ok. I would talk to the doc though since I am not a doctor, so I really don't know.

My first was a section and i got pregnant again when that baby was 13 months and had a successful vbac 9 months later so it is for sure possible! I have no idea about the wound opening up though.

Welcome to the board! I haven't had any experience with my wound opening up, but I'm sure someone else will have some insight.

Welcome and congrats! There are two incisions made in a c/s, one on your uteris and the outer one you see. The problem was with you outer incision so it's not as worrisome. A minor problem there will not affect the baby. The uterine incision is the important one. A reason that an OB may be hesitant to do a VBAC is because there hasn't been enough time between pgs and that would increase the risk of that uterine scar rupturing which is a very serious thing. You should research and discuss your options and risks with your OB. He may be willing to do a VBAC.
