What time of day, and day of the week was your scheduled c/s?

I'm hoping for Thursday morning, March 5. I'm wondering if OBs seem to have a preference for time of day or day of week, so I'd like to see everyone's answers.

Mine wasn't scheduled, but it seems as if most people are scheduled right away in the morning from what I've seen.

Mine was scheduled for 9am on a Friday morning. But we moved the dates around according to my health and NICU availability due to pregnancy complications. Thankfully my baby did not need to be in the NICU.

Oh and Steph you can aim for the 6th....that's my b-day

Ditto! Mine wasn't scheduled (and Alexis is/will be an only).. BUT from friends and family members that have had them, it does appear that all the ones *I* know of that were scheduled were during mornings. Not completely sure I noticed a trend towards the DAY of the week, though. I hope you're able to get what you want!!!

Mine was scheduled for a wednesday at 12:30 pm. Although Summer decided to come 2 days early and we ended up leaving the hospital around the time it was scheduled for.

We wanted it to be on March 8 because Keith's bday is Oct 8, but it was a saturday and my dr said they don't schedule c-sections for saturdays and sundays.

Some hospitals only do certain surgeries on certain days. My first was not planned ,second he came early and it was on a tuesday,third came early again on Wednesday and then this one is planned for Wednesday again .It is planned very early in the morning.I have to be there at 6am.

Mine was planned for a Wednesday morning but she ended up being an emergency c-section on a Saturday late morning. My sister's second child was planned for a Friday afternoon.

Mine was a Tuesday morning- around 9:00am. Good luck though- you'll have to keep us updated on what the Dr. says.

Mine was an emergency but my husband is in school for anesthesia and he is doing his OB rotation right now and has been told to schedule the first scheduled surgery of the day so that you are less likely to get bumped or post-poned by other more urgent surgeries. Good luck!

I asked to have mine scheduled first thing in the morning b/c you can't eat after midnight and if emergencies come in, the scheduled c-sections get pushed back later and later.

Mine was a Thursday at 7 am... I was the first one of the morning and they actually got started EARLY!! HE was born at 7:04!

My first wasn't scheduled, but it was at 1030am on a Saturday.
My second was 0700am on a Monday.
My third was 0800am on a Saturday (scheduled the night before though).
My fourth was 0900am on a Saturday.

All of my scheduled ones were late!

Mine was planned for a Friday, and surgery was to start at 1pm.

My OB has two surgery days, one morning, one afternoon.

Needless to say, he was very delayed that day. I didn't get to the OR until 3pm, and Izzie wasn't born until 3:54pm.

Thanks ladies. It's a smaller hospital so I'm hoping I can just kind of pick. I'm hoping Thurs. because it will be most convenient for my parents coming to stay with Samuel since they both have Fridays off every week they would only have to take one day and then I would be home before my dad needs to head back on Sunday. Friday would be my second choice.

mine is tentatively scheduled for nov. 11. exactly a wek before my due date.they wont do it any sooner than a wek before your due date.and i know itll be early morning.they rpefer early morning so they can get it done nad out fo the way at the begining fo the day
