I had a c-section on Sept 5 2008 and I'm still sore. Anyone else experienced this? My doctor says it normal because I have had "major surgery" so its gonna take a while for my body to heal. One year though? Seems a bit much don't you think? To sum of the the discomfort-it bascially feels like the burning sensation (which the doc said is probably my nerve endings still reattaching) but its sore to the touch.

So now I turn it over to you ladies and I hope I'm not alone!

I don't know if its normal, but I did have the same thing after my first section. I was still having the odd pains when I get pregnant with DD#2. Funny thing is after the second section its not like that. The OB cut the original scar out compleatly, said something about it having healed to things inside which was causeing my pain. Which he said was because I pushed myself too hard the first time. Second time after 3 months there was no pain.

I hope it resolves for you soon.

I had my c-section 8 months ago, and it was my first. I don't get the burning sensation you are talking about, but I do get some pains now and then. Sometimes I will just get little twinges, and also if I lay down flat on my back with no pillow under my head and I cough or laugh, it hurts really bad. It does take awhile for everything in there to fully heal, and I guess it's different with everyone.

I still get minor pain when I gain/lose weight or for no reason that I can figure out and it's been about 2.5 years. You can get adhesions after the surgery and that could cause pain.

Nope i did it in November 2008 and i am absolutely fine. Have been fine since a loooong time ago and it feels as if nothing happened down there.....if you exclude the numbness on the right side of the incision, but i don't mind that. Maybe you need to have it rechecked, OR maybe it has to do with individual bodies and how fast/slow they heal. If your doc is not concerned and you are INSIST to have it checked by someone else also, you know your body better than he does even though he has the diplomas. Those mean little to me when i listen to my body and believe you me i saved both me and my daughter by listening to my body and not my doctor and by discovering the serious illness i was under WAYYYYYYYYYY sooner than he would have ever had with the ideology that crept out of him 'ohhhhhhh don't worry it's nothing'......

I'm 6 months PP and I'm still having pains around my incision too. I had an IUD and I thought the pain was from that, but I had it removed a month ago and I'm still having the pain. It mostly hurts when I lay flat or do yoga or pilates. It's not really pain its just uncomfortable. The weird thing is that it's been hurting more lately and it feels a little like being pg, but I know I'm not. I hope it's normal.
