Well...I;m not really a lurker anymore, I have posted a couple times, but never really introduced myself.
I'm Sarah, mom to Christopher (born Feb 11/2010). I had an emergency c-sec because he was in distress. Turns out he had gotten stuck, the cord was around his neck and pinched between his shoulder and my pubic bone. Plus I was having really intense back labour and my blood pressure shot up.
All in all, as crazy as this may sound, I consider it a very positive experience. It happened so fast that I didn't have much time to think, which worked out nicely for me.
If I have another child, it will be an automatic c-sec because of how he was stuck they had to make a second cut in my uterus (its a T shaped cut) which puts me at too high of a risk for a VBAC. But thats ok. It means that I could skip that whole painful labour part!!!
Hey Emma! I've been lurking a bit here lately...I know we go way back, but for everyone else I'm Karlie, mum to Noah born in July 08 and due with my second boy in July this year who I'll be having by a repeat c section for a gazillion reasons. Anyway....hi!
Hi I'm Cina. I'm 27 and I have a son who was delivered by c-section. He was 9lbs 3oz with a beautiful big head. I was relieved when I ended up having a c-section! I am due in June with my second son and I will definitely be having a repeat and I am just fine with my choice. I love my scar.
