My scar was numb for a long time. Probably 3-4 mths. I heard some women have the area be numb for a yr. Eventually, the Dr should give you an ok to start massaging the scar. I used cocoa butter to massage the scar. That helps break up scar tissue around the area. The numbness will disappear eventually.

my scar was numb for a long time - it's common for it to be numb up until around 12 months, sometimes more. I think my general scar area was numb for maybe 5 months, and the scar itself was numb for around 18 months

I still have a little numb spot and I had my c-section almost 4 years ago. I'm guessing it's stuck that way.

I'm still numb all around the scar, and it's been almost 19 months now. Eventually you get used to it.

I don't have an area that's completely numb, but there are spots that are not as sensitive. I also have had nerve damage from a prior surgery 14 years ago that's still numb. It just depends, sometimes it comes back, sometimes it doesn't.
