I went to the doc today because I have had a lot of contractions the past couple of days and feeling very uncomfortable. Of course when I went up there and they hooked me up to the machine, I didn't have a single contraction. He did say however that since I have had 3 previous c-sections that I have a lot of scar tissue and that is why I am feeling so uncomfortable these past couple of days. Has anyone else had this problem that have had previous c-sections? I am only 5 months pregnant and I wondered if it is going to get worse before the baby is born.
I have had a lot of BH contractions this pregnancy as opposed to my first. I started having them well before 5 months along too. At first I didnt even realize what they were but after reading more about them I figured it out. I wouldnt worry about them too much unless they start really hurting and are close together...mine dont hurt, just really uncomfortable, like theres a 20lb bowling ball in there. Just keep up on drinking your water and make sure that you go to the bathroom often...I was told that holding it too much can cause contractions too.
With that being said, dont ignore your intuition...if you think there is something wrong then go get checked out...Good luck and i hope they dont get worse for you.
I have had one c/s prior to this pregnancy & am noticing i'm having more BH, but from what I know, that is normal for a consecutive pregnancy anyway. I have heard that scar tissue can cause more pain/discomfort, but like MrsLMB said, use your intuition, andi f you feel something is off, go back & get checked out
