I was just wondering if any of you ladies had/have trouble with incontinence after your c/s? I have seen a urologist and was diagnosed with post-operative bladder trauma NOS (not otherwise specified). The urologist said if I am still having trouble after a year they would want to do a scope to try and get a specific diagnosis and hopefully be able to do a repair. But that a fair portion of cs mamas with this problem and it resolves itself within the first year. Just wondering if anyone else has/had this problem and how long it took for the problem to go away?
My daughter is perfect, but her birth was not. If you or someone you love is struggling to cope with a traumatic childbirth experience, please visit http://www.solaceformothers.org/
I have very minor, infrequent problems but I think it's related to the pregnancy. It hasn't gone away in 3 years. Have you checked out mothering.com? There's a birth trauma board and a really long topic on pelvic organ damage or prolapse. Someone there might have had a similar experience.
I know sometimes when I sneeze or laugh really hard, I'll have a small problem. I've been told that's common after pregnancy and delivery (regardless of method). I've never asked my doctor about it since so many friends of mine have the same problem.
