I'm really anxious to get back to the gym - anyone started working out again??? I can't even remember what the recommendation was from my last section - it was 11 years ago! I dont have my pp appt until June 26.
At my 6 week appointment, my doctor told me it was okay to go ahead and start working out again. I have been doing it every since with no problems. I think if there are problems with the incision that it may take longer, but if not, I think six weeks is usually when its okay to start back up.
Definitely talk to your doctor first, even if it is just a phone call to the office... but I believe its 6 weeks... I'm sure walking/brisk walking wouldn't be a problem, but as far as weight lifting and stuff goes I'd definitely check with the doctor about that. At my 6 week apt, my doctor said "return to normal life" but to take it easy if I felt anything out of the norm.
