How long were you on the lovely liquid diet?
When did they allow you solids again?
Did you have some one to help you with cooking/food fetching after returning home?

I was in my recovery suite the evening after my daughter was delivered, and was served a full breakfast the next morning. Once we got home, we got take-out quite a bit, or people would bring over dinner, or my husband would cook. I don't think I stepped foot in the kitchen for a good month after Olivia was born!

I was on the liquid diet for 24hrs after my c/s, then back to regular meals. When we got home I ate a lot of sandwiches cuz they were easy and my mom would sometimes bring me food while DH was at work. She also went grocery shopping for me to get me through the first week.

I was on the liquid diet for one meal (dinner) after my c/s in the late afternoon. I actually had half a ham sandwich during the night after my surgery because I was still hungry and my nurse shared her dinner since the cafeteria was already closed!

After we got home my mom stayed with us for 8 weeks so cooking was done by her for about 2 weeks and then I felt good enough to try a bit on my own.

How long were you on the lovely liquid diet? My c/s was at 8:30 in the morning and was able to eat crackers that evening around 7:00 or so.
When did they allow you solids again? By breakfast the next day I was totally on solids. Surprised me ... I actually questioned the catering staff to make sure it was ok to eat it!
Did you have some one to help you with cooking/food fetching after returning home? My DH was home with me for a week and a half after we got home and then my mom stayed with me for three days after that. Made life much easier!

I wasn't on a liquid diet after having my section. From what I remember about recovery I was out of it for 4hrs then David gave me some ice chips but when I got back to my room my dad had bought us Chicken Sandwiches from Burger King and let me tell you it was the best tasting thing ever!

I don't really remember being on a liquid diet.... I was allowed dinner that night (which I then proceeded to vomit up in front of my family)...

Once i was home my Mum helped out with cooking for the first 10 days or so..

My C-section was at noon and I was able to eat Jello by that evening. I had crackers in the middle of the night so I could have oral medication and I had a full breakfast that morning. My hubby was home the first week and my mil stayed with me the second week. Between all my family members, we had almost two weeks worth of dinners.

12-24 hours depending on when I was able to pass gas. With the last one, I lied b/c I was starving!

I was offered crackers in the recovery room & jello an hour later. But I pigged out on a Meixcan feast my parents brought in for me about 4 hours a post c-section! I'm naughty, it was the best mean EVER!

How long were you on the lovely liquid diet? Lunch was liquid
When did they allow you solids again? Dinner was soft foods, breakfast I could have what I wanted. I pigged out!
Did you have some one to help you with cooking/food fetching after returning home? DH and MIL would get whatever I wanted but I had stocked up the freezer, the pantry, and the fridge!
