I will be headed 2.5 hours from home on the 22nd to have surgery. I will be gone for 2 days and without my Charlie! His nana will be here to take care of him, but I will miss him very much and want to come home!
I have a giant cell tumor on my left tibia, no, it's not cancer, but has to be cut out the just the same. If left alone, it will continue to grow and technically eat my tibia. There is no known cause of giant cell tumors, they just happen. Supposedly, pregnancy hormones make them grow faster and I could have had the thing while I was pregnant with Charlie and just not felt any pain because of another pregnancy hormone called relaxin, which I miss right about now.
They are sure that it's just a giant cell tumor and nothing else, 90% sure they said but won't be 100% sure till pathology comes back 10-14 days later.
So fingers crossed for good news and a quick recovery!
Sending good thoughts for your surgery! I had to have my gallbladder out when Allison was 2.5 months old. I was in the hospital for 5 days and Allison was with my parents and husband, so I feel your pain about being away from the baby for so long. The good news is the baby doesn't remember and you'll feel so much better after the surgery (and recovery)!
