Hi ladies. I think I have told you before on here that I've had a c-section. Well I'm starting to freak out a bit because me and DH have been trying to get preg for a few months now...first time been trying since the c-section and no luck of getting preg yet. Now I'm kinda weirding out because I remember at time of c-section a few days before it they asked if I wanted to get a tubal done and I remember telling them NO! But I'm starting to wonder now if durning the surgery if they may have tied my tubes!? Is that possible without me knowing? My recovery from c-section was real quick...few days after I was back and running again pretty much as normal. Little sore but nothing like I thought. So if they did a tubal would I have known in the recovery? Now when I went back to my check up a few days after the doc asked if we did tubal (and he did the surgery wth?) and I was like "umm no" and he looked through clipboard and was like ok...then he went into details on BC I could use. I was suppose to go back for the mirena thing but never did. My doc at the time who did all this was kinda...well weird I thought and he had to ask me if they did the tubal?
So I guess my question is...could that have happened without me knowing? And would my cycles be the same as usual..because they are? And is there any way for a doc to look at me to see if I do have a tubal done?
Thank you so much in advance for listening to me and trying to answer lol
I don't know about your cycles or anything, and while it is rare it has happened before where dr's do tubals or full on hysterectomy's and the patient has already told them NO!! So, go to the hospital and get your surgical records and also your medical records from the dr office. That way you can see from your own eyes what they did to you in the hospital. Did it take you long to get pregnant the first time? Having a c/s moves stuff around and a complication from it is lessened fertility too, so it may just take longer.
You should be able to access your medical records to make sure. It's very unlikely, but I suppose mistakes can happen. How long have you been trying? It took us about 15 months to conceive our second after my first c-section. I had never heard of it making TTC harder but who knows...
