Hi Ladies,

I had my first c-section over 6 months ago, and my incision scar is still pretty red/pink and raised. It is not tender or anything...just thought it should be fading by now?

It takes a while for the scar to go to a pale color (mine took a while). My Dr told me to really massage the scar to break down the scar tissue. She showed me one time and it was uncomfortable when she did it. But she said that it heals better that way. Have you tried massaging your scar?

I massage my scar after every shower so that the scar tissue breaks down - that helps the healing process of the scar as well. I use cocoa butter. Maybe you already do this. Other than that I think time will help.

Mine was nearly 10 months ago and my scar has faded a bit, but not as much as I thought it would. I'll need to try massaging it too!

You might also have a keloid scar and that won't ever go down. Some people are more apt to getting keloids.
