Hi ladies-- almost 4 weeks ago I gave birth to my daughter via c/s. It was an emergency c/s because labor was not progressing and my pelvis apparently was too narrow for her head. I had been pushing for hours so she was wedged pretty low. My OB said that her position indicated a t-incision at the last minute. So I have the regular bikini but but also a vertical incision. The vertical incision is only on the inside and my external scar is low transverse.

I didnt really think much of this except now that I'm home I'm really freaking out about rupture in my next pregnancy.

Anyone here have a t-cut? Did you have more babies? Any problems with rupture or thinning of the scar?

No stats for you, just an anecdote. I didn't have a T-incision myself, but a fellow member of my Playroom had a T-incision with her twins about 2 years before her December 2010 baby, and she didn't rupture. She's pregnant now too and I haven't heard her say anything about it, not her doctor worrying or anything.

Freaking out is perfectly normal - this is just a hopeful story for you.

Congrats on your beautiful baby. I don't have any personal experience with a t incision either, but there was also a lady in my playroom who had a T insision with her first c section and did well with her next pregnancy.

Thanks so much for the anecdotal stories! I felt like all I was reading online was stories and stats of rupture and terrible outcomes. I have dreamed of 3 children but after my two pregnancies and ridiculous amounts of complications, I am grateful for 1 child and will be over the moon with 2 babies!

My doc said I would need a c/s for all subsequent pregnancies which is fine, I def. wouldnt chance a VBAC with a t-incision. It's just great knowing that people have gone through this with great outcomes. Thanks again!!
