I had my daughter a year ago this month, but I am currently 23 weeks pregnant. My insicion healed perfectly but every once in awhile it itches like mad. I feel like I am itching myself raw.

Has anyone else experienced this?

My dr told me it was because the nerves were starting to reconnect. Even after your incision heals, you're still numb from the cut nerves (at least with a vertical incision). So that takes a while, and when they start doing what they're supposed to do - you itch. I still had sharp pains a year later, and I'm SO NOT looking forward to have a repeat c this time. Fortunately, it will be a horizontal, and I hear they aren't as painful or take as long to heal.

Mine itched until I had my second c-section. It hasn't lately, fingers crossed it stays that way.

Mine finally stopped itching, but I had trouble with it itching off and on for a good 10 or 11 months! It's still numb for me also.

Mine has hurt, itched and all during pg, after pg. I always put lotion, Palmers cocoa butter or some baby oil on it to help keep it from getting dry.

I do know it is from nerves being cute..so, it is natural.

hth some!
HUGS!!
