This might be a crazy question, but any idea how long after your c section you have to wait to go tanning. I am having my c section on thursday and have been dying to tan.

I waited 3 months not because I didn't want to tan because of the C-Section but because of just having a baby and being exhausted. I'd say I'd wait atleast 2 weeks to give time to heal.

Well, your really not going to want to do much of anything for the first few weeks after your c/s. I would at least wait until you can move around well without much pain.

If the scar is a concern for you, my doctor advised that tanning will cause your scar to heal more visibly (redder I believe)...but I suppose if that is a concern you can always cover it with bikini bottoms or something.
