I had my son via emergency c-section,all i remember was the docs getting him out n my husband walking behind them as they left the room w the baby, after that i passed out,i remember waking up as i was getting transfered to a recovery room and a nurse giving me a new i n i saw blood in the bag,she said i had lost a lot of blood and needed it.
Almost all my friends who had children at the time had to have an emergency c-section and none of them told me about getting a blood transfusion
it was weird feeling the blood flowing thur my veins,it was very cold, then they kept giving me more b/c every time i'd use the bathroom i'd pass huge clots
did anyone else have that?

I didn't but I had to almost...they said they were going to but just waited it out and I wish that they had b/c I was extremly animic for a year and It took me a really long time to feel normal again...it is very normal to loose alot of blood during a c-section especially if you labor first b/c everytime your uterus contacts it fills up with blood.

My sister needed 2 bags of blood with her first and 4 with her second...So I'm used to at least hearing about it...According to my c-section report I lost 600cc of blood which was 'within parameters'...

When I had my ER c/s I lost 800cc of blood and they said that that was more than normal but they didn't think I needed a transfusion.

nope, but the blood was ready and waiting if I needed it. Thank goodness I didn't though, I just don't like the sight of blood.

I had to, only cause with my first child it was a emergency c-section, and when they were almost down, i ended up
hemerging. and when they did what they do best, and were stapling me up, the blood just came flowing out again. so i ended up hemerging twice, for one child. so i ended have a blood transfusion.

I had 2 bags with my first... I had an emergency c-section with him... but I am anemic... so I lost a lot of blood plus my uterus flipped inside out, due to me only having one overy, and part of my uterus... but with my second I didn't need blood... they thought I was going to... but waited it out..... and I was ok....
