I was quite surprised when I had my c-section that I did not have any stitiches. (on the outside anyways..) I just assumed they would have to stich me up. Just wondering who had stitches and who was glued instead?

I had stitches all the way up to the 2nd or 3rd layer then they used steri tape....

I had steristrips on the outside and I was surprised by that too. I was happy with that and I hope to do the same next time or the glue. I don't think I would want stitches on the outside or staples.

I had staples for the first 4 days, then steri-strips until I was 1 week pp, then then those were taken off.

I had 16 staples - I was supposed to have steri-strips put on when they removed the staples for a couple weeks but since I am allergic to them I just had to be careful but it all worked out! I am hoping for stitches with the next one but I am not sure how the doctors here do things yet.....
