After all that chatting about glossy fashion mags, I picked myself up the latest Vogue. It came with a catwalk guide and the health and beauty section was all geared toward the next trends.

So whats in?

Fashion: The catwalks are seeing colours on two ends of the spectrum. It's all about bright hues from head to toe, bold layering and clashing of bright colours too. Or nudes - lots of modern craft type bits so knitwear etc

Make Up: Throw away your foundation brushes! Application with your fingers is very in as it gives you a much more natural coverage. Bursts of colour on the very inner corner of your eye, "it's what's inside that counts" and search out icey blues, frosty greens and mellow yellows. Seems like were going for understated colour this season!

Hehe I've always used my fingers, only just started using brushes and I find it stays on better!

Me likey! I love bright, bold colors. I, too, apply concealer with my finger. Makeup brushes are insanely expensive. I have a big, puffy kabuki and its all I need.

I like using a cross between brushes and sponges b/c I have extremely sensitive skin that turns rashy if I don't use them... just started learning how to use them properly 2 years ago & since then they are my BFF (btw brushes can be cheaper when you shop sales & use coupons lol)

Brush rolls can also be really cheap on ebay from the likes of china - I have to say, cheap brushes are not bad! As long as you keep them clean and the bristles do not fall out as you use them, you are set for years
