I don't watch Top Model. I think it sends the wrong message to women. I think in all the years I have seen bits and pieces of it, I have only seen one plus size model and I think she was a size 12. And I don't consider size 12 plus size.
I'm sorry you feel that way! I've seen most seasons from the beginning, and have definitely copied a hairstyle here or there from the makeover episodes.
I actually think the show does a good job of condemning the unhealthy and shallower side of the fashion and modeling industries. They have sent multiple contestants home for having a too-emaciated or unhealthy look. And, as much as Tyra Banks can drive me crazy at times, I think she is a great advocate for female empowerment and standing up for the idea that unique is beautiful.
I don't tend to watch any reality show because none are true reality. I agree with Amanda when she said "I think it sends the wrong message to women." Through flipping channels I saw they added plus size models for a season but they were voted off as soon as possible and they were talked down to and about by everyone.
