I suck at doing hair. I normally can do nothing but pony tails, pigtails, 1/2 ponies, or claw clips. However this morning Kayley let me play with her hair before school and I did a decent french braid! I'm so excited!

(pictured is actually the 2nd attempt from this morning....first one came out when I went looking for a rubber band)

You did good with that. You could probably fishtail her hair too. That's a 2 strand braid. A tad less complicated than french braiding.

I have no clue how to do that. LOL My aunt used to do that to my cousins' and my hair when we were little. Looks cool but I never figured that one out. Any chance you know of a tutorial link?

I thought this site Fishtail Braid | Fishtail Braid Instructions and Tutorial was very good at explaining it. It also shows different ways the fishtail can look. There is also a video on there, which at first it looks complicated, but the further down she gets, the clear it is as to what you do. HTH some.

Thanks!! I'll check it out and attempt when Kayley lets me play with her hair next.
She's a silly girl. She loves to play with other people's hair (even pretends my mom's "scissor" tweezers are actual scissors) and she loves to be all girlie with her earrings and dresses etc... but she HATES her hair being fixed! She'll have me do piggies but then like an hour or two later, she's pulling them out. LOL

Yes, boys are DEFINITELY easier that way!!! LOL And less dramatic. LOL But I was like you and really wanted a girl and I'm thrilled to have her. I'm either gonna have to learn or she's gonna have to figure out how to do her own hair. LOL
