It is hard I sympathize with her. Best thing to do to loose the weight....drink loads of water. If she could cut out any sugary drinks from her diet that will be a huge help. All those sugar drinks go right to the stomach area for women. In general she should try to eat as healthy as possible fruit everyday with her lunch is a help too. Cut her portions down by a 1/4. Some people say half but that is very drastic and hard to adjust to. As far as exercising....the best thing is sit ups and not just traditonal ones do ones that also work the sides too. Also try power walking but when power walking keep your stomach sucked in. That trains the stomach and helps with muscle building.
What I did to loose the weight...besides my baby not letting me eat much lol....I did special K to start until i got most of the weight off and then I just continully watch my weight now. As far as exercise I walked like crazy lots of hills and in the heat. And i did a modified version of P90X. Good Luck to her!
