Hello all,
I am not part of this board but I figured this would be a good place to ask my question. I hope you all don't mind.

I have a beautiful 7 month old baby girl and have been breastfeeding her exclusively (sp) and I think I may be pregnant again...but am unsure.

My last AF was on March 5th and it use to come everyother week since Brianna was born. I O twice a month. I have taken two pg test last Fri and Mon they both came up negative.

I was just wondering what you ladies thought or if this has happened to any of you.

My AF is always on time and it is about 9 days late...any advice would be great.

Thank you

I haven't had that experience, that is a very strange cycle though. Was it like that before your baby? Has there been any change to your baby's nursing pattern? Perhaps your cycle is just regulating

I guess I would probably just wait unless there were other out of the ordinary things going on .. but then again, I'm a little paranoid with such things so, maybe I'd go to the doc instead just to set my mind at ease.

I know, I'm not very helpful and sadly, I haven't seen many people around on this particular forum recently.

I hope someone stops in that can be more useful!

Best wishes.

Thank you.

Yes, my cycle has been like that since AF first started at 13. Than at 14 I was put on the pill, which regulated it to once a month and got pregnant on the pill in Dec of 06. AF returned when Bri was 6 weeks old and it was back to everyother week again.

Well that doesn't sound like fun. I'm very curious what could be the cause of this then.

I know I have heard some ladies say they didn't get a BFP until AF was two weeks late

.. this is a mystery .. would it be too nosy of me to request an update if you solve it?

Do you mind if jump in here, even though I'm not a member of this board?

What makes you think you O twice a month? When you say your period used to come every two weeks, would it alternate between light and heavy (one light period, one heavy period)?

It's normal to have irregular cycles when breastfeeding, the breastfeeding hormones can do that. Stress, travel, and illness can also delay ovulation - and when ovulation is delayed, menstruation is also delayed.
