Hello. I'm new to this board, but not to JM. I have an 8 month old that cosleeps and nurses exclusively, well, she eats a few bites of baby food everyday, but not a lot. DH and I aren't trying, but not preventing either and I was wondering what the likelihood is that I could get pregnant. I haven't been feeling well lately and everything smells weird (like when I'm preggo). I haven't had AF and I don't know what else too look for. I guess I could just have a stomache virus. IDK

I started feeling weird and went on a POAS binge for about a week, then AF started. Go figure. My daughter is 13 mo, though, and no longer ebf, and I have started putting her in her own crib to sleep. Only way to tell is to take a test! Go hit that $ store!

You could get a BFP while doing all of the above.

The only way to know for sure is to POAS. I agree with hitting up the $ store for a few tests.

I think exclusive breastfeeding offers it's highest contraceptive powers until six months. You could definitely be pregnant or I guess just your body sorting hormones out. There are some good articles up the top on this forum about af return ie. even when af returns you may not necessarily ovulate right away. But, keep us informed! I conceived second ds while b'feeding but first ds was 11 months old and I had had af for a couple of months..

At 8 months it is likely that AF may be returning. It is possible to O before that first AF, so you could be pregnant. I agree with the PP, dollar store tests rock.

I EBF my daughter until I got pregnant with this baby (and then she began eating more solids.. but she is still breastfeeding!). She was 15 months old when I got pregnant, I had my cycle back since 7 months pp but I didn't ovulate until 15 months pp.
