From what I know (which isnt much) Bfing does lower your progesterone to help prevent possible pregnancy. With that being said women can get pregnant while BFing but Im sure it is also related to the amount of times you Bf.

It can def lower your progesterone levels. That is one of the first things my doc checked for when I miscarried while bf. If you have a history of low progesterone, it is definitely something you should discuss with your doc asap!

Yep, having the same issue. nursing makes you release prolactin which suppresses progesterone and causes a short luteal phase. I had a miscarriage too because of this.
I haven't seen a doc but I am trying Vitex and red raspberry leaf as a natural remedy to increase progesterone. If I don't get any luck with my LP soon though I think I will ask about the progesterone cream!

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

I dont know why my progesterone is low because I have a 14 lp. so I dont know why it would seem that if its low then my LP would be short.
