i have experienced this a few times this month. my son is 7 months he'll be 8 months on the 18th. I'm trying to figure out if getting cramps while breastfeeding is normal. this is the first time this month, i've experienced this since giving birth to my son. af started for me 2 months pp i've had 6 cycles so far. last one being a light cycle, currently on 12DPO CD28. af is due to arrive on the 17th or 18th. Sooo....what do you think? should i be worried? i mean i know cramping is normal but in the first part of pp like around newborn phase.

I'm not much help to you sorry! But, have you POAS? The cramping could be because you are pregnant. Well anyway good luck and keep us posted

I can't really remember what it was like way back - my pp period came back when my D was 9mths and she is 30mths now - but I do get cramps and all sorts now and it can be ovulation cramping or AF cramping and - I'd say - is normal. Could just be a sign your body is functioning normal compared to your earlier AF's?

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

I should have also added that my AF's came back at (roughly) 30 days - definitely monthly - but have started getting shorter and shorter to recently 23 days. Not sure why or what thats all about but just proving how crap our bodies can be at making things not easy for us! lol

When AF has come the last two times for me Ive had major cramping while Emme is BFing. I know BFing causes your uterus to have slight contractions so I just figured thats where it was coming from. Either way it is no fun...
