It sounds pretty reasonable I guess? Not sure about the 'younger mums can get away with it' because I'd say it is more likely down to an individual's body and hormones than is due to age? Maybe....?

What do you think?

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

Hmm, I wonder where she got her research?? This is somewhat scary for me as I am 30 years old.

Since my miscarriage back in October the thought has been in the back of my mind.

Yeah I will be 30 this year, in April. I wish I'd started younger now (with having children) but I wasn't ready and thought waiting until I was would be best. I was ready at 25, but never thought it would take as long as it did to concieve! And then I thought second time would be quicker and I'd have my second by the time I was 30.

I'm not too unhappy right now - I think my daughter will be ready to wean by age 3 (in July) which was how long I had said I was willing to nurse for and there will certainly be benefits to the age-gap so long as I can concieve when she stops! Thats my biggest fear - if it continues to be a problem!

I thought that BFing did lower your progesterone levels which is what made it hard to concieve in the first place. Am I wrong? I suppose that could lead to miscarriages. Im not too sure though. I will have to do more research. It just seems like an awful lot of women get pregnant and even continue to BF while pregnant. So Im not exactly sure how this could be entirely true.
