I think Asher is almost at the end of his time nursing. He's been going a couple days without it then all of a sudden he'll ask for it 2-3 times in a day. I'm really quite sad, I was hoping to tandem nurse. At least though it's his own decision, so that makes me feel a little bit better about it.
Aw, I'm sorry! Liam self weaned (at 13 1/2 months) when I was 3 months pregnant with Lochlann. Although he was perfectly happy and content, I cried for 2 days! I was hoping to tandem nurse too. I hope he continues for you and who knows, when the baby gets here he may want back in on the action!
Mixed feelings isn't it... my midwife told me that sometimes weaned toddlers start BF again once the bubs is born. So it might not be the end of him BF altogether. Perhaps think of it as a small 'booby break' before the LO arrives
Elise, wife to my darling husband Remy (19/08/06) & Mum to Eva (6), Jayden (4), Lily (2) Baby #4 Due July 7th!!
It is so hard when they choose to stop. Zander did at 16 months I had been ttc since he was 5 months old. I so wanted to tandem nurse and was so sad that I was not going to get to do that. I did get to nurse twins but that is not the same as nursing a toddler and a newborn. Hugs to you Meg I hope that it is easier on you then it was one me. I weaned the twins and still feel bad and wish I kept nursing but if I stayed nursing then I would not be pg now...
