I haven't posted in a few weeks - got caught up in a few projects, then getting ready for vacation, then vacation. Just returned yesterday. AND, as I should have known and should have predicted, AF finally returned - the day before vacation! I should have planned a trip earlier just to get my period. How just like old times. It didn't last as long as I thought it might (everyone says the first PPAF is usually very heavy and long), and was actually fairly mild. It was definitely a period, though. And, for the first time in my life - no cramps! However, I've been dealing with quite a dose of hormones.

One final note - after finally noticing that my hair wasn't falling out as much (which it's been doing since about 3 months PP), and had practially stopped, I'm shedding as much as when it first started. I'm assuming it's tied to the 1st PPAF hormones - anyone else have this??

Hello I would say it's most probably hormonal, although if you have been over treating your hair (bleaching/colouring) that could be a contributing factor. That's what my hairdresser said to me, it's usually hormonal. And YAY for AF!! But right before a holiday? lol I laughed when I read that because that has happened to me nearly EVERY time we go on a holiday! Either a day before or the day we arrive. One time we stayed for 2 nights on the Sunshine Coast, AF came 2 WEEKS EARLY!! Unbelievable! So will you be charting now?

God, nightmare! And yes ...our vacations usually end up with a trip from the too. And it has come early for me as well - usually at the airport! Grrr! Must be being so relaxed or something (they say stress pushes it back don't they)

I can't remember if my first AF was lighter or not but I think all my AF's are shorter and lighter than they were before. They used to last about 5 days (before Dakota) now its Light, Medium, Light and thats it. Maybe some spotting to trail off.

Hormone wise I gets spots! Urgh! It was one sign that made me know AF was coming this cycle so I didn't have hopes up (though I was disappointed AF came early on 8dpo).

I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!
