lol, sounds so stupid but I tested about CD8 of this cycle...but only because I am having strange post-ov symptoms (like spots, cramps, higher sex drive and even a high post-ov temp although it was a one off) so I just thought I'd 'double check' cos you read about preggos getting periods (well, heavier bleeds than you'd expect) so wanted to put my silly notion out of my head!

Hi. Im Jolene. 31 years old. I suffered three years of a short luteal phase and didnt think I could get pregnant again without medical assistance but fell pregnant by accident and naturally. I am really happy and excited to be having a baby although knowing Im going it alone this time is a bit daunting and scary!

I've done that many times. Just because of weird periods and preg symptoms, i've thought of IB.
Last time I tested was last Tues 26th. It was of course neg and AF arrived in full force the next day! And it was awful! HEAPS of cramping and very heavy flow. I was so grateful to get a decent AF but it wasn't pleasant at all.

Yeah it doesn't take long to remember why we were glad NOT to have periods after months of wishing it would come! But glad you seem back on track. Jayden cutting right down may have pushed it into being a more 'normal' one.
(lol, on a sidenote I was thinking of names whilst semi-asleep last night. I often do this, trying to think what name would be as good and unusual as 'Dakota' for a sibling or taking note of names I see...anyhoo, last night I had 'Jayden' running in my head haha, and now I just figured out where from! And I was feeling clever thinking of it! LOL)
Glad I am not the only one to have tested after AF! I'm certainly learning alot being on here!
And as for AF coming day after testing - why does it always seem to do that? Just like coming early or late to coincide with a vacation? haha. Its an evil B....*ahem* Witch isn't it? Thats why I now count 30 days from the start of my AF and vow to test on day 30...as my cycle is 24-28 days roughly lately it means it SHOULD come before I test....

lol Jayden is a pretty neat name eh? I think him cutting down feeds was definately the reason for me having a 'normal' AF. Well, it's normal for me anyway. I don't know about everyone else but my AF is ridiculously heavy. Does anyone know what causes really heavy flows?

I haven't been on the computer for forever, it seems. Also haven't even been thinking about cycle dates or testing, unbelievably. Ever since I got AF, and even before, I've just been more distanced from the thought of TTC. I need to start charting, seriously, but now missed the first CD after AF, so I guess I need to wait until I get it again to start......

Well being able to 'forget' is a bonus Tunyia and perhaps it'll be a good thing and your get your BFP without actually 'trying'...
Hmm, Elise, I think periods are so varied - everyones ideas of 'heavy' or 'light' vary so much its hard to compare or know if your 'heavy' is actually the same as someone elses 'medium'.
Same with implantation bleeding - I've looked it up online a few times and it seems it can be a spot to a full pad!
But anyway, I do have a theory.......Before AF the Uterus thickens in preparation for possible pregnancy. Progesterone is part responsible for this. Therefore the thicker the uterus the better sign of fertility/hormones but the heavier the period when it 'pulls away'. As I have low progesterone do you remember me saying my periods are lighter and last only 2-3 days when they used to be like 5 when I was younger?
So for you could be a very good sign!
Of course maybe I'm talking rubbish...or that you can still get pregs with 'thinner' Uterus build-up or whatever. Once pregs your progesterone would increase and reinforce it anyways.

He was our 7th loss If you would like to see pictures of my sweet (but tiny) boy they can be viewed at www.caringbridge.org/visit/noahdarrohn they aren't the easiest pictures to look at but I am willing to share them with anyone who would like to see them <3 There is no known explanation for my losses.

I tested about 2 weeks ago. Still no PPAF though, so I just randomly test.
