What do you usually do when you are away from home and your breastfed baby needs to eat?

Well, he's only nursing 3 times a day right now, but when that does happen I'll nurse in public and have in the past. I have no problems with doing so. It's completely legal in Utah to do so, written into the law books and everything, so if anyone ever said something I have the law backing me up I've also nursed in the car before if I can't find a place that I can nurse and contain my 3 year old at the same time.

I still just nurse him...he doesn't eat for nurishment right now (no milk, but a bit of colostrum has come back), just for comfort...but I just nurse him. I always have. For the first 4 months I would cover him up, but he hated it and would rip off the cover, so we just keep as much private as possible.

I just nurse her. She's at a stage right now where she latch and pull off about 500 times per nursing session so I try to do it in the car if I know she's going to be hungry. When she was younger and less distracted I would nurse her anywhere.
