I am not sure how true this is but I wa sjust messing around and found this little article about being able to have multiples while breastfeeding...

Most people think that you can't get pregnant while breastfeeding, that the process of lactating keeps a woman from ovulating. However, plenty of mothers of twins can disprove that theory. Some research has supported the theory that the chance of twins or multiples is increased if a woman conceives while breastfeeding..

"I have 4 year old identical twin girls I fell prgnant with them when my first daughter was 6 months old ... I was still breastfeeding her! I had no idea until now there was any link between breastfeeding and twin pregnancies. Like you suggest I was one of those under the impression that pregnancy is unlikely to occur whilst breastfeeding!!" -- Sarah"

I actually got pregnant with twins when my first daughter was about 6 weeks old. She was TOTALLY breastfed, I never had a period and I was taking Micronor (mini birth control pill).

I don't know if the multiples were due to breastfeeding, may never know actually but I can say from experience that it DOES happen.
