My little one is a 6½ months old. We want to have another close in age to her (18 months is ideal, IMO)... But, I've had no sign of a period so far and she still nurses on demand (probably 2 times a night and then whenever during the day-- I'm a SAHM.

So, we've started temping again, just to see what's going on. With only 4 temps, though, obviously, we're still pretty clueless. I will say that for the last 3 days I've had cramps like I'm starting, but no spotting or anything. I even tested a couple of days ago and it was BFN, but the cramping is still around-- less so than before, though.

Why would I be having period-like cramps and no period? I'm sure some of you have been down this road... Any clues?

Welcome and good luck TTC

I had cramping off and on and thought I was going to start, but never did. I did not get my first AF until my dd was 11 months old. It took me 4 months to finally get pregnant.

I hope your cramping is AF trying to show and that you get your BFP quickly

I had cramping on and off too for months before AF finally showed. It can definitely take your body several "attempts" before you ovulate the first time. It's completely normal!

Are you also charting CM? It can be a little wacky while nursing but hopefully that with temping will let you know what's happening and you can give that first PP egg a shot!

Welcome! I didn't O for the first time until 11 month with both my daughters. I was tracking my CM. I was able try and catch that first egg becasue I noticed EWCM. Good luck! I hope you start to O soon.
