Hi Ladies - I am new to JustMommies.

I currently have a beautiful, 11 month old little girl. We are still breastfeeding (5 times a day) and I have not yet had a period. My husband and I would like to start trying for baby # 2. I am currently using an Ovulation Kit (Answer) .... I know it is still too early, but after 24 days still no ovulation?!?!? Is anyone else in a simliar situation and/or have any suggestions/advice?

Thanks - Lorrie

Welcome to Justmommies! I'm Michele 25, mom of 3. TTC #4. I am breastfeeding my 13 month old. I didn't O for the first time until 3 days before her 1st birthday. Do you normally get lots of EWCM? That is how I knew I was about to O. Using OPK's to track ovulation when BF can get really pricey. Cutting down on BF and adding more solids can help too.

I am Jenny I am 21. I have one daughter. Amara is 18 months old and I am still nursing her, but we are almost done. I got my first PP period when she was 11 months old, but I did not ovulate for the first couple periods I had. It took me 4 months to get pregnant.

Tracking your CM is the best way to tell if you are ovulating, it is free and easy.

When I got pregnant my daughter was still nursing about 3 times in the day and 3 times at night, so dropping a feed isn't needed but it might make it happen sooner.

Good Luck TTC I hope you get your BFP soon

Thank you so much Amarasmommy for the "legend" - I really appreciate it!!!!

I agree that ovulation kits will become pretty pricey to use on a continuing basis. CM and temping is how we conceived our daughter .... I will go back to the tried and true method of conceiving!!!!!!!!

Thanks again for the assistance and advice.

One last thing ... on a different topic - is there a particular forum I could visit regarding vaccinations???? I am currently trying to research vaccination pros and cons - which ones might be needed and which ones can wait, etc.

Hello and welcome!

I agree, temping and CM are the best ways to predict ovulation. At least until you get your first postpartum AF! Then you can always try the opk's (ovulation predictor kits.)

As for vaccinations, we have boards to discuss both pros and cons!!
