I have had my period every month since I've had my baby. What I don't understand is that I breastfeed all the time. At first I thought it was just my body working its thing out. Then I realized that it is happening every month. The last month and a half I have not had one.So could I get pregnant right now or do I have to check if I am ovulating? How do you know if you are ovulating? I have never done that before so can you explain how that works. I am not in a rush, but would just like to understand how it all works. With my last child I had none so this is all new to me.

Take a pregnancy test. My guess is that you are pregnant. As soon as you get your period, it is a sign that you have ovulated. So if you were regular and now aren't, my guess is that you are pregnant. Good luck!!

I would also suggest taking a pregnancy test. Some women get their period back right away after having a baby, even when breastfeeding. Things can definitely be out of whack for awhile (being regular and then skipping a cycle or something) but for peace of mind I'd definitely take a HPT!

I would take a test too. You could be pregnant.
