Hi everyone! I just got a positive test Jan 14th. I have a question though. I got my first post partum AF on Dec 5th. I didn't have a period at day 28 (which was typical of me before this last pregnancy) so I tested each day for around six days. All negative. When I still didn't have it by Jan 12th I tested. Still negative. My husband asked me on the morning of the 14th if I could be pregnant so I tested again that night and got a positive! I looked back to the test I took on the 12th and saw a faint line there. So I am wondering how to calculate my due date. Doe's anyone have any advice? I am not sure on what day we conceived. Thanks!!

Lurker here. I think you'll have to go to the doctor in a few weeks for an ultrasound and an exam. He should be able to tell that way, but it sounds like you O'ed really late, which puts the baby younger but I'm not sure by how much. Good luck!

congratulations!
and i would recommend and ultrasound, dating is extremely accurate as long as you go between 6-12 weeks.

Congratulations to you! I think like the other ladies that you'll need an ultrasound to know for sure.

Thanks ladies! I was hoping to have no ultrasounds this pregnancy. I just emailed my midwife to let her know I am pregnant again and to ask her opinion. It should be within a 10 day area or so but since I tend to carry longer it could really be a months difference if I don't have a confirmation somehow. Maybe she will be able to tell from my measurements later on. I tend to be right on until the last week or two.

CONGRATS on your BFP!!

As the other ladies said, I think a U/S will be your best bet. Good luck and keep us posted!

Mostly likely your doc will figure you due date by your LMP, and then at your first appointment if things are measuring off they would do an U/S.

CONGRATS
