We have had a local man killed while snowmobling in a avalanche.. I dont know the man but I know the other sledders that where with him. Please pray for the family. He was 24 with a 2 month old dd.

The sad thing is he was found with his $10,000 sled under 1.5 meters of snow and the locater that would have saved his life only cost $300.

MY DD sleds there all the time and is planning to go there next weekend for the snowmoblie SnowFest.

They have the event in the same location.. she will NOT be going this year!

I am stunned in all my years liveing that has never happened but they did have warning out for that location.

How sad! We hear about the locators from time to time when there is a snow accident here in Oregon. $300 is a small price to pay for such an important safety device.
