I've intended to say hi and introduce myself so many times but never did so here I am finally saying "Hi!"
I have 3 LOs, DS1 is 3, DD is approaching 20mo and DS2 is 10 wks. I do hope that #4 is in our future although we don't speficially try to that end so I'm not charting or anything like that but I pop in here regularly to read because you ladies all seem just so sweet and it's a refuge from what seems to be an anti-child culture.
We do have the support and fellowship of dear friends at our church with varying size families but since #3 showed up so quickly (especially since we already had 'our girl and boy' - you know how it is), our own extended family has not shared our excitement to the same extent. At this point, if we are blessed with #4, I don't intend to announce it to them .. they'll figure it out eventually
I would like to get to know you ladies better. Now that I've actually said hi I will feel more welcome to post in other threads besides the occassional "congratulations"
Hello! I'm relatively new here, as well, but have also enjoyed the warmth of the ladies here. I am 36 years old, and have 3 children - 2 girls and a boy, ages 5, 3, and 1 respectively. I have joined because, while dh isn't exactly on board with more children, my heart deeply wants more (even just one more?? ) I hope to find the support and guidance here that will allow me to remain patient. Nice to meet you!
I'm Shannon, momma to 4, and probably at least 1 more. Believe it or not, my dh talked me right into a 5th one.
I know what you mean about the anti-kid culture. People are always saying "are you done?" "are you trying to have your own baseball team?"
I guess there are people who feel like 2 kids are perfect and anything else is excessive. I say if you can handle them, afford them and love them..have as many as you want.
