We went out to eat tonight...hubby, me, the 6 year old, the 4 year old, and the baby (9 months). People were staring at us! We weren't being loud as the children know they use their manners or they don't eat (I really am not that cruel). Anyway, we got comments about how blessed we were (we'd say thanks), tand questions about how we handle them. WHAT? This is the first time we have ever gotten these looks. I wonder what it will be like when we do have a fourth!
I was quite upset!
Hats off to you with larger families. I about told one of the little bitties to take a picture!
Ok. So I am still moping about my sister's pregnancy. Well, moping, excited, jealous, thrilled...ya know, mixed bag.
my thanks to Claire1979 for the awesome siggy!!
Oh I HATE that! I only have 3 kids too, but I get those looks all the time. It doesn't help that I look pretty young for a 28 year old. My kids are also well behaved, but I still get the "How do you handle them" or "Gee I bet things are crazy at your house" comments. I always try to come back with a comment about how much I love having a bigger family and that we are planning on having more children and that usually shuts them up. I am also wondering how things will be when we have our fourth child.
We have 3 kids too, but people don't talk to me, they just give us horrible looks, I don't let them bother me anymore. You see, I am 21, we have a 6 yr old, a 3 yr old and a 10 month old, and I am pregnant with our 4th (although that is not noticable yet). So people automatically assume the worst of me, plus my husband is 40, so when we are out together, the looks are worse, lol. I don't care, I <3 my large family, and we plan on having 2 more, let's see those looks then!
