Ok, some people love newborns, some people like being pregnant, some people are birth junkies, how about you? Do you genuinely like being pregnant or do you just like having the new little one that comes with it?
Sometimes I like being pregnant and other times I would have to say NO! LOL! I enjoy feeling the baby kick and move (until it gets hard and painful). I hate gaining 40+ lbs with each pregnancy. I'm one of those unlucky few that no matter how closely I watch what I eat I instantly put on 20 lbs in the first 3 months of pregnancy (fortunately I've been able to lose the weight each time).
I hated being pregnant with my last baby. I was in so much pain from the beginning to the end that I'm worried that's going to happen again. I had really painful braxton hicks contractions that started up when I was only a few months pregnant. I kept thinking I was going into pre-term labor because the contractions would hurt so bad that I would be in tears. My lower back and pelvic area hurt sooooo bad too. The doctor said it was caused by my muscles being weakened from having previous pregnancies. I hate to think of how painful my next pregnancy will be!!!!
As far as the delivery goes, I am actually one of those weirdos who sort of enjoys the whole birthing process! LOL! All 3 of my experiences have been extremely different from eachother but they are all special in their own ways. I've had 3 vaginal deliveries and only 1 out of 3 of my births was medicated. I have some pretty crazy stories from pretty much all 3 of my births, but I wont go into the details because I would be typing all night! LOL!
I would take labor and delivery ANY DAY over pregnancy. I get migraines like crazy when I'm pregnant, not to mention I have to take it easy because of my placental abruptions. Labor and delivery is a breeze for me. For some odd, VERY ODD reason, I do not feel labor pains. I feel my stomach tightening up, but that is it! My family was blown away with my first daughter, when I kept telling them I don't feel a thing. They were watching the contraction monitor and watching it go off the charts, but I never knew it! Heck, I'm not complaining...not after hearing all the ladies in the ward screaming their heads off! I'll take anyone's labor and delivery if they'll just take my pregnancies! LOL
Well, it changes from day to day for me. I love being pregnant, until I am whisked off to the ER for some sort of complication or another. Labor & Dilivery just keeps getting easier and less painfull for each child, and HOW could you look at a newborn and NOT want one, lol.
I love being pregnant, LOVE LOVE giving birth (natural birth at that!), and love having a newborn, so yes, i'd say I love the whole process! I love it way too much I think I could wind up with like 5 kids!
