For me I would LOVE to have 4 kids. With our home, farm, businesses etc, 4 to me is a large family (taking into consideration I am 36 and getting a late start at expanding our trio). My DH grew up in a family of 7 and he was the youngest - he loves the large family gatherings etc. We always joke about if we had met when we were younger but we also both know we weren't ready at that time.

Anyhow, I am just curious what is a large family to you? I am guessing 5 or more but curious at the same time

To me it's 4 or more. Really, anything more than the norm/average. It seems like a lot of people stop at 2 or 3, so I go with 4 being a large family.

I would have to agree with the other ladies and say that 4 is when you cross over to the "large family" title...LOL! I guess it just depends on who you ask though. My family already thinks that we have a large family because I'm the only one in our family to have more than 2 children. They think I'm absolutely insane for ttc baby #4.

We are hoping for #11, any more would be great. So I guess I'd be a mega family??

Although we don't feel like we are a huge family, I came from a family of 7. My mom was one of 8. So vary large families are the norm to me.

4 is large to me, because then you can't all fit in just any vehicle, you need to get a van or 3rd row seat vehicle. Hubby, myself and the kids now outnumber the seatbelts in our Explorer - minivan shopping time!

over 4 is a large family but having 5 it doesnt seem like its that big

When my sisters 5 and my 5 are together it still doesnt seem too big actually its more organized with 10 so it seems easier

I used to think 5 was a lot when I only had 3. Now that I have 5, its not all that many.

I guess most people consider 4 a big family.
