That you wanted a large family? Did you have to talk your dh into it?

I have always as long as I can remember wanted a large family! I have had numerous negative comments
from family members but I have just told them look I am going on 24yrs old and my feelings for wanting a big
family have not changed and if they haven't by now then they aren't going to go away.

My dh almost had a vas after our third was born. The Lord lead us to NFP and from there our hearts were really opened to welcoming children as blessings. So, I guess we didn't know we wanted a large family until we were already on our way there.

Natural Family Planning. You observe your physical signs to determine the fertile time. If you are hoping to conceive, you can optimize the chances by knowing when the time is right to bd. If you need to avoid or space pregnancy, you abstain during the fertile time.

I've always figured I'd have 5-6 kids ever since I was a little girl! I didn't have to convince DH. He's always wanted about the same number. He came from a family of 10. . . .

I dreamed of having 5 children since I was a little girl. Dh thought he was done at 2 and I gave up that dream. When our ds was 2 dh realized he wanted another baby and we had twins! We went back and forth for the last year or so about having another. Financially could we swing it? Would we have enough time for each child? What would our families say? While they don't even babysit often my family is especially judgemental of doing anything other than the "normal" 2 children. A few months ago dh said he was sure about wanting another and we talked about it for a long time. I knew I would never regret another child but, I might always regret not having one. We started trying right away but, no luck yet. We're hoping this will be our month!

I always thought (and DH agreed) that we would have 2-3 kids. Well now we've got 3 and we just love our kids so much, why wouldn't we go for more? Besides that, we have the right lifestyle for it, we have a big house and we are still young. So we will go for #4 and see what happens after that. If the baby fever returns....well, then maybe there will be more in our future!
